July 2006

Well July didn't start off good with the weather been foggy and a thunder storm through in for good measure, then by the 6th it was hot, on the 7th was a very sad day and a happy day, the sad bit was that we lost Whiskas my fav puss out of the 2 he got run over by an inconsiderate driver and just left on the side of the road, he's now in the garden. The happy bit was that our ducklings started to pip the shell and by Sunday 9th we had 3 ducklings by 10pm that night we had 4 but one was deformed so had to dispatch that one we ended up with 6 ducklings that actually hatched and one dead in the shell also deformed total live ducklings is 5 and they are all doing well.

On the 8th was Sammy's 4th birthday

10th we took fudge to get his first lot of vaccinations, 12 was Kim's birthday she was 8.

13th saw the arrival of our visitors....Tracy's aunt, uncle and cousin they stayed for 7 days....hope you enjoyed yourselves you 3.

The weather while the visitors were here was brilliant, hot n sunny until the last day when it started to get cold the day they went home we couldn't see a thing due to the fog arriving again that lasted 2 days and was back to hot and sticky days.

12th was Tracy's niece's 21st birthday, 18th Orange our lovely duck was found dead under the hen hut (we don't know what happened to her) she was ok she had been chasing flies and bugs then an hour after i saw them doing that she was dead.

25th we took fudge for his 2nd vaccination so he's done for a year, 27th we got another rabbit, we named her Nougat (should have been grumpy i think) anyhow she's a 9 month old lop who looks as though she has just come out of the coal shed here she is....

see what i mean about looking as though she has just come from the coal shed

although as i write this on the 8th Aug she is making a nest in the hutch ...not a good thing to say that the previous owners had told us she was pregnant yet she is showing all the signs of it, more on that in the August diary.

The Jeep (we call it something else these days) is a poorly car with anything and everything going wrong with it ....again more on that in August.

31st July 2003 @ 14.00 we left Halifax behind to come and live here @ Werain Cottage in Peterhead ....is it really 3 years ago since we left you all behind.

Ok folks really to cut this month short we had Births, deaths and visitors

Oh and a dodgy car

see you in August where we hope to bring good news.

Bye for now
